Should You Use An Android Device For Safety Apps?

We are often asked – “Why do we only review “Apple” safety apps in our Safety App of the Week articles?”  and  “Do we intend to someday review “Android” safety apps too?”

We only review Apple safety apps because 85% of our visitors who use mobile devices use either an Apple iPad or an Apple iPhone.  Also, we have found that most of the better safety apps are only offered for Apple devices.

If you already have a personal Android device and want to use it at work, fine, but realize that you will not be able to use most of the better safety apps on your Android device.

If you (or your company) are looking to purchase a mobile device as a tool to assist with workplace safety we recommend you purchase the latest version of the Apple iPad.  The iPhone would be our second choice because its’ smaller screen is difficult to read on the work floor, and the larger iPad screen makes it easier to share videos and other information with fellow employees.
