One of the leading occupational safety and health research organizations in the world is Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.   Liberty Mutual is one of the largest underwriter of workers compensation insurance in the U.S.A..

Liberty Mutual has established a large safety research institute.  Through laboratory, field-based investigations, and global research collaborations, their research institute seeks to advance scientific, business-relevant knowledge in workplace and highway safety, and work disability.   Liberty’s leading edge safety research is conducted by an in-house staff which includes seventeen PhDs !

Each year, they publish three “Research to Reality” newsletters that focus on a specific areas of their current research.  An archive of these newletters can be found here.
