“EHS Audit Mobile is an iPhone and iPad app that allows you to perform inspections and audits on the go.  You can use their 600 free checklists or upload your own to their web based  EHS Audit tool, which links up to the app.

The mobile software lets you run through a checklist, take photos, audio and notes – ending up in a report in either Word, Excel or PDF format.  The companion web allows you to work in teams, issue corrective actions and generate rich reports.  The app can be used as a standalone product or in conjunction with the website.

If you buy the companion website service (Premium version), you can easily manage user accounts, issue corrective actions and manage your own audit templates.  For a team of auditors looking for the best global solution at a reasonable cost, there is nothing else that compares.”

• the premium version (for a monthly fee) is for larger organizations
• app is easy to use and understand
• company offers free training videos
• provides access to over 600 free health and safety inspection templates (checklists)
• can incorporate photos, videos, and audio into your audit/inspection reports
• inspection reports can be generated in PDF, Word and Excel

 

Thumbs Down

• allows only one photo per item (the company is currently working to improve that)
• free version does not allow you to: develop your own audit templates,  issue corrective actions, or manage user accounts
