Below is this week’s “Safety App of the Week“.  Every Monday we publish an article that reviews and rates a new workplace safety app.  Our testing is done on Apple iPads and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3s.  We rate each app from ♥ to ♥♥♥♥♥ (♥♥♥♥♥ is the best).  Prior app of the week articles are archived here.

• it does accurately compute frequency rates
• can be used off-line

 

Thumbs Down

• no instructions provided
• it’s easier and faster to just compute these accident rates using your calculator
• the severity rate calculator does not work
• not OSHA compliant
• uses improper English
• can not either save or email the results

 

Overall Rating

• iPad / iPhone  – ♥♥
• Android – not available
• Overall – we would not use this app even if it were free and they got all of the bugs out of it
