Thumbs Up
- cost is free
- no registration or sign in required
- works off-line, no WiFi needed – great for use on construction site or factory work floor
- app is regularly updated so the standards you see are relatively current and up-to-date
Thumbs Down
- needs more visual appeal – few photos or graphics
- while the standards in this app say the same thing as the OSHA on-line standards do, we prefer reading a standard on OSHA.gov because it is formatted better
- the apps’ “news” feature is poor – you are better off getting your OSHA news here
- the search feature on the app does not work as well as the search feature on OSHA.gov (search “wheel chocks” or “boom lift” to see what we mean)
Overall Rating
- iPad/iPhone – ♥♥♥♥
- Android – not currently available
- We prefer a similar app called OSHA Safety
