Thumbs Up
- cost is free
- no registration or sign in required
- technically correct content
- excellent photos and graphics
- seven different 5 to 10 minute video training topics on: PPE, lifting, housekeeping, OSHA & MSDS, hazardous materials, fire safety, and lockout/tagout
- interactive – trainee can touch the screen during each video for even more information
- short quizzes at the end of each training video
- good training for both new and current employees
- works off-line
Thumbs Down
- videos lack a bit of production value (no music, amateur narration)
- navigation challenging at first but you get used to it – could be better
- only about 25% of the app is about safety
- the MSDS section needs updating to reflect the new SDSs that have superceded MSDSs
Overall Rating
- iPad/iPhone – ♥♥♥♥
- Android – not available
- Overall – while designed for machine shops, these seven safety tutorials are general enough to be of value to almost every type of employer
