WorkSafeBC Safety Videos

The WorkSafeBC Safety Videos app “provides easy access to more than 150 of WorkSafeBC’s most popular workplace safety videos on your mobile device. Videos can be streamed when online or downloaded for offline use in training, safety meetings or crew talks.”1

Thumbs Up

  • cost is free
  • no registration or sign in required
  • well organized – easy and logical to use without any instruction
  • good acting, with great plots and messages
  • good audio
  • length of videos are just short enough so you can use them on the work-floor or job-site
  • huge assortment of videos
  • can be used off-line

Thumbs Down

  • video images are not the latest high-resolution format – their older format looks a little grainy on new retina screens
  • some videos are very bloody and gory, preview each one before showing your intended audience
  • optimized for iPhone use, when enlarged to iPad size some videos have grain that is distracting

Overall Rating

  • iPad –  ♥♥♥♥
  • iPhone  –  ♥♥♥♥♥
