Thumbs Up

  • cost is free
  • no registration or sign in required
  • well-organized – easy and logical to use without any instruction
  • click on embedded tables to view them full-sized
  • click on embedded hyper-links to access additional free resources on that subject
  • these British Columbia (BC) Canadian safety and health standards are easier to read, and are often more protective and up-to-date then the OSHA standards are
  • their are numerous standards here that USA’s OSHA does not even address (e.g. heat stress, cold stress, whole-body and hand/arm vibration, peak noise, warehouse vests, etc.)
  • the search capability is better than on USA’s OSHA.gov website
  • BC Canadian employers (and multi-national employers with operations in BC) must comply with these standards
  • all employers who are serious about protecting their employees should review these safety regulations and voluntarily adopt those BC standards that are more protective than their counter parts in your home country
  • can be used off-line

Thumbs Down

  • wonderful app, no identified shortcomings (the OSHA.gov website is nowhere near this good)
